No, it cannot. You need either a board kit to upgrade both boards to the newer style or simply order the older style board that matches your model and serial number break. In your case, it's the 621269001.
can this board replace the early style board?
My fridge is an n641 and have a new fridge for parts a n621 with the newer board . the 641 has a 621269, and the 621 has the newer board 628661
