An extreme power surge can do that.
what would cause the 20A fuse circuit and wiring for the DC heating element to overheat to melt plastic
N3150 does not work on 12 v while driving (works fine on gas or plug) circuit board showed blackening of the 20A fuse and melting around DC heating element plug into circuit board (did not blow the fuse)
